Fredric A. Kaufman D.D.S

Dr. Kaufman, D.D.S. has over 40 years of experience as a dentist since earning his D.D.S. from the Ohio State University in 1975. He founded the practice The Kaufman Dental Group in 1978, then joined Gerda Family Dental in December of 2021. Dr. Kaufman continues his dental education through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Association, Alpha Omega International Dental Society, and the Spectrum Study Club. He went into dentistry because he wanted to work in the medical profession and has an aptitude for working with his hands, so he found dentistry to be a natural fit. Dr. Kaufman loves his practice because he enjoys seeing the patients he has come to know over the past 30-40 years, and because Dr. Gerda gives him the opportunity to continue working in her office and seeing those patients.

When not working, Dr. Kaufman enjoys traveling to see other parts of the world and how people live in those countries. He also enjoys playing tennis, working out, bicycling and reading. Known as a calm, caring and respectful professional, Dr. Kaufman goes out of his way to care for patients’ concerns, fears and expectations. His life goals have been to have a successful dental practice, as well as raise children who are caring adults and responsible citizens of the world. 

Dr. Kaufman says “My dental practice philosophy is to provide patients with information on the condition of their teeth and gums. Then I can help them decide which course of treatment is best for them. I treat my patient with respect for their beliefs and support their decisions on their dental care.”
